FastNet GSM Modem

The FastNet GSM Modem allows FastNet the capability to provide you with a service footprint that covers 95% of the populated areas of South Africa.

The service makes use of two SIM cards simultaneously, enabling Vodacom and/or MTN to route your traffic, depending on network availability. The unit will automatically switch across in the event of a failure on the part of one of the networks. The service has the intelligence to select the optimum data traffic route.

Terms & Conditions

• All prices quoted exclude VAT.
• Standard installations are free of charge. Additional requirements will be quoted for prior to installation.
• Subscription to the FastNet service is subject to a minimum 12-month contract per radio pad with a two-month written cancellation period.
• An additional R8.00 per pad per month is payable for GPRS modems owned by FastNet for “Beyond Economic Repair” (BER) maintenance.
• FastNet call charges are NOT distance dependent.
• Application for Service to be processed are subject to Credit Verification – a deposit may be requested
• Procedural matters:
  • We will require a copy of your ID Documents as well as a copy of your company or Close Corporation registration (Companies: CM1 and CM29; Close Corporations: CK1 or 2).
  • If the Application Form is not signed by a Director or Member, you will need to attach Proof of Delegation of Authority to Sign on behalf of the legal entity.
  • Debit Order Facility: A cancelled cheque must accompany all application forms where the debit order facility is requested.
